Sarah started her loss adjusting career with Thomas Howell Selfe in 1978 and spent the next 16 years in various areas of loss adjusting, progressing from smaller claims to major and complex losses, across various lines of business.

Sarah then became a Branch Manager, and subsequently took up the Area Manager role when the Thomas Howell Group was acquired by Crawford. In 2001 she was asked to form a major loss defined service designated CMIT (Crawford Major Incident Team).

In 2005 Sarah was made Managing Director of Crawford Global Technical Services (GTS) in the UK and also sat on the Global GTS Council.

This area of the business provided loss adjusting in Power and Energy, Construction, Engineering, Property Major Loss, Casualty Major Loss, Aviation, Marine and Transportation, both in the UK and on an international basis.

Whilst in this role Sarah managed a response to the Christchurch earthquakes, Japanese tsunami, earthquakes in Chile and Thai floods.

In 2015 Sarah parted company with Crawford and set up her own Consultancy business, providing strategic planning and management advice to companies within the damage mitigation, forensic engineering and loss adjusting sectors.

In 2017 she joined Cunningham Lindsey UK (CL) as Corporate Risks and Specialist Practice Groups Director. In this role she was responsible for growing corporate nominations and developing the specialist/technical adjusting areas of the business. During the course of her time at CL she also launched EFI Global in the UK, CL’s Environmental and Forensic (cause and origin) investigation service, to great success. During this period CL was acquired by Sedgwick and Sarah added the role of Director for business development of the Sedgwick Specialty Loss Adjusting to her responsibilities.

At the end of 2019 Sarah left Sedgwick to join Abaco International Loss Adjusters as UK Country Manager.
