Manuel Villalba Valdayo

Graduate in Industrial Engineering, with a specialty in Electricity (Escuela Politécnica de Sevilla)

He has over 20 years of experience as an average adjuster and insurance appraisal expert, a job which he took on in 1997 joining various surveyors’ offices within national territory and abroad.

He began his professional career in 1994, as a Technical Industrial Engineer in the Urban Planning Technical Office of the Town Hall of La Palma del Condado (in Huelva, Spain).

Following his qualifications as a postgraduate University Expert in Damage Valuation and Appraisal, modules I.R.D and V.A (as taught by the Mechanical and Materials Engineering Department of Seville University), he began working as a self-employed Insurance Company Surveyor. From 1997 to 2003 he collaborated with Surveyors’ offices such as COMISMAR S.A and ANTONIO ESCOBAR PERITACIONES S.L in surveying operations for the main companies in the sector. During this time he also wrote up and elaborated Technical Electrical Projects, Operational Projects and Installations.

From 2003 to February 2010 he joined the Seville and Huelva regional branch of COMISMAR S.A. and COMISMAR CONTROL S.A., working as a Average Adjuster, Appraisal expert and control inspector.

In February 2010 he joined the Seville branch of Abaco International Loss Adjusters a surveyor specializing in the Transport Department, of which he became Merchandise /Cargo area Manager in 2013.

During this time he has collaborated with the main Insurance Companies, Logistics Operators, Stockbrokers and various institutions related to the Goods Transport Sector, carrying out load control, risk inspections and valuations, etc.

He can speak English and Spanish (which is his mother tongue). From his position in Seville he is in charge of the coordination of a network of Marine & Cargo Surveyors with correspondents in over 50 countries.
