Javier Milla Crespo

Civil works engineer (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid).

With over 19 years experience as an appraisal expert, he began his professional career in the Construction sector working for first-class Spanish construction companies, in operations involving the water supply and sewage network as well as expansion and renovation works of the metro stations in Madrid.

He began his activity as an adjuster for insurance companies in 1997, having been involved since then in the Construction sector’s claims management (Physical Damage and Civil Liability). After his stint in a national office, followed by a period in an international office in which he took on the position of the Construction Department Manager, in July 2004 he takes part in the founding of Abaco Asesores Periciales, in which he carries out appraisal tasks and takes on responsibilites over the development, coordination and control of the Construction Department.

In March 2010 he was designated as the International Business Construction Manager  of Abaco International Loss Adjusters. From July 2014 he also took on the job of General Coordinator in the Technical and Operational Management. Since 2015 he is the Manager of the EMEA geographical region (Europe, Middle-East and Africa).

He has been involved in relevant damage claims in the Civil Works and Building areas, in any of their specialty lines:

Own damage : Construction all-risks, Physical Damage all-risks, Finished Civil Works, Payback, Advance Loss of Profit and Delay in Start-Up, Decennial, Machinery Breakdown.

Civil Liability : General, Employer’s, Professional, Faulty goods

Additionally he has also carried out technical advice, pathology, appraisal and technical expert’s reports for legal procedures as well as Asset valuation, etc regarding the Construction sector.
