Jaime Linares Alarcón

He has over 16 years of experience in the Colombian insurance market, in the legal and in the multinational company loss adjustment areas (insurance companies and stockbrokers).

From 2001 to 2010 he worked as a lawyer in ALLIANZ COLOMBIA, taking on several positions within the company until finally promoting to General Secretary, a position from which he has always been involved in the analysis and decision-making of the most relevant claims of the company, lending his services to the economical compensation area.

In 2010 he joined AON RISK COLOMBIA, initially as Legal Manager and later as a Compensation Administrator, position in which he took responsibility over the management and resolution of the whole of AON’s clients’ claims, within all insurance lines (Property & Casualty) as well as specific business lines like Affinity. He successfully implemented Fast Track agreements with the majority of the insurance companies in the Colombian market.

In 2014 he joined the ABACO group as Country Manager in Colombia, where he completed the company’s implementation and start-up, networking the company with the most important companies in the Colombian market.

Since 2916 he has taken on responsibilities as Civil Liability Manager in Latin America and Financial Lines Director in all of ABACO, in order to introduce this business line in any of the countries in which the company is present.

Finally, since 2017 he has begun to lend his services in the business administration of some countries in South America.

Besides carrying out his job as a Manager, he also takes care of the surveying of complex claims management in Colombia, whichever the specialty, as well as the Civil Liability and Financial Lines claims management.

He holds the FUEDI ELAE (European Loss Adjusting Expert) accreditation.
