André Luís de Sequeira Francisco

André Luís de Sequeira Francisco, has over 13 years’ experience in the loss adjusting and surveying segment (claims advice – property/ engineering/marine/cargo/transport). He is a Civil Engineer since 2014.

He also has anti-fraud formation and training, specifically in the area of investigation of thefts/robberies and fires, which he obtained from former members of the Portuguese Judicial Police (Criminal) in 2013.

He is also an accredited Loss Adjuster & Surveyor, duly registered at CNPR – Câmara Nacional Peritos Reguladores Portugal – Registration Number ACR778 (approved in 2014).

In addition, he is also Full member of  FUEDI - European Federation of Loss Adjusting Experts - Full Member of FIEA – Federation Internationale des Xperts en Automobile - and also member of the TMN Survey Group - Association of Worldwide Survey Services.

He started his career in the Insurance Survey market in 2008, while he was still in university. In 2012, he assumed the role of coordinator of a large team of surveyors in Portugal, working mainly on the property market, including fraud investigation, large claims, Industry and Profit and Exploration Losses.

In 2014, he joined another company, whose "core business" was mainly in the marine/cargo/transport branch, in which it was market leader.

There, he gained great knowledge in those specific areas, dealing daily with CMR / Marine Transport / Cargo Insurances claims, etc., for over 5 years, nationally and internationally.

He has also experience in large risk assessments, as well as theft complaints in goldsmiths and watchmakers.

In 2017, after developing the company Property and Engineer Department, he joined that same company as associate, being responsible for all the operations on the South of Portugal (Lisbon).

In 2020 Abaco International Loss Adjusters starts its operation in Portugal, being appointed Director.
