On 20 February an event was held at the InterContinental Hotel in Lisbon to celebrate the opening of Abaco’s new offices in Portugal. More than 50 representatives from the Insurance industry, including Insurers, Brokers and Insureds attended the event, and were treated to a presentation outlining the extensive range of services that Abaco will be offering and a talk on Business Interruption delivered by Jesús Bueres, followed by a cocktail party for all attendees. André Francisco, the Director of Abaco’s Portugal office spoke of his excitement about the potential of the market in Portugal, and Ignacio Martí, Corporate Director of Abaco Latin America and Portugal, thanked everyone for coming and expressed his confidence that the event marked the start of a successful and productive future for Abaco in Portugal.
