Desamparados Ramirez Belda New Director of Abaco’s International Property Department

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Desamparados Ramirez Belda as Director of Abaco’s International Property Department, which focusses on the handling of a wide range of property damage claims.   Desam is an Architect with a Masters in Concrete Engineering who began her career with a Spanish engineering consultancy with whom she acquired invaluable experience in the field of structural calculations. Desam joined Abaco Valencia’s Construction Department in 2010, where she worked on both property damage and liability construction losses.  Between 2014 and 2017 she spent a considerable amount of time in Latin America dealing with large claims, principally claims following catastrophe events including hurricanes and earthquakes. This provided Desam with considerable experience of both the regional Latin American and international insurance markets. Following her return to Madrid in 2017 Desam joined Abaco’s Industrial Claims Department, where she has been adjusting international claims and coordinating claims worldwide with the assistance of our global loss adjusting partners. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Desam for her long-standing commitment to the ABACO Group and wish her every success in this new stage in her professional career.
