DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, ABACO INTERNATIONAL LOSS ADJUSTERS PARTICIPATES IN A WORKING DAY ORGANIZED BY JUCOSE (INSURANCE ADVISORY BOARD OF THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC) AND WITH THE COLLABORATION OF THE INSURANCE SUPERINTENDENCY OF THIS COUNTRY.
On November 20, Jesús Bueres and Ignacio Martí, representing Abaco International Loss Adjusters, participated, the first as a lecturer, and the second as a panelist, in a training session organized by the Insurance Advisory Board on Loss of Profit Insurance for the Dominican market.
With the attendance of more than 200 people, record of an event of this type in the country, they had the opportunity to lecture on the subject and share experiences of claims, with the rest of the panelists: Mr. Franklin Vasquez, Universal Insurance Claims Vice President, Mr. Luis F. Vasquez, Universal Insurance Counselor and creator of the book “The Business Interruption Insurance”, Mr. Juan Garrigó, President of Garrigó Reasesores and Mr. James García, Vice President of Sura and President of JUCOSE.
The success of the debate and the depth of it, has certainly contributed to the dissemination of knowledge of this subject, and will undoubtedly result in improving the penetration of the product in the Dominican market, contributing with the clarification achieved on this subject to the future resolution of multiple disputes arising from accidents of Loss of Profit by Nat-Cat, a subject especially important in our market, says Franklin Vasquez Vice President of Universal Insurance Claims.
